First week of September

This week has been an eventful one.

Emily went into grade four and has a wonderful teacher named Heather McCarthy. The last of my children wee Maia, started kinder with Jill Ashmore.  Both girls seemed to have settled in well and enjoy going to school.  Maia has been chatting up a storm about everything school related, and seems to just devour everything that she is hearing and seeing.

All the children started a new activity this week.  Emily began formal art classes with the most wonderful teacher, and produced a fabulous piece in pastels.  Jacob began badminton and thoroughly enjoyed it.  He was absolutely exhausted after running around for two hours, but says he can't wait to go back.  Maia went along to the Jiu Jitsu school in Kirkland and will be taking lessons once a week.

On the home front we had a burst water main which thankfully didn't end up being too serious. On a brighter note after 5 years of living in this house, we finally got two cars in the garage!!!

All is well on the work front for David.  He is working as hard as ever but seems to be content, and is enjoying the new title of Principle Development Lead. I have had a few challenges with little David this week, but I am hoping that once the family moves house things will soon settle down.

Ferida and Steve are still on their fabulous cruise, posting some amazing photo's and making all of us very jealous.  We are definitely considering a cruise of some sort as our next family vacation.

So yet again life is good and I am thankful for wonderful family and good friends.

Jacquelyn
